The challenge
A large banking institution in Italy turned to Almawave with the need to develop information search, classification, and collection systems to support the decision-making process. The solution required the use of AI algorithms for natural language processing.
The solution
Our team of experts utilized the Regulatory Compliance algorithms to create a prototype neural model for classifying text excerpts from European legislation, Italian Law Decrees, and internal regulations of the organization. The classification is based on a BERT language model, enabling state-of-the-art results for various typical natural language processing (NLP) tasks. Subsequently, specific parsing algorithms were developed for different categories of legislation, facilitating the orderly extraction of text passages necessary for the classifier.
The result
With the Regulatory Compliance solution, we created a reliable system that facilitates the drafting and review of inspection findings, allowing inspectors and auditors to make comparisons with similar findings and immediately access information that is not readily available.
