“Artificial intelligence is becoming an increasingly central element of our strategy; it is not standalone, but pervasive: it affects all the business areas in which we operate as a group, both in terms of solutions and collaborations, projects, design capabilities, and initiative,” Valeria Sandei, newly appointed Global Artificial Intelligence Director of the Almaviva Group and CEO of Almawave, told Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor.

“At this moment, we need and require human capabilities and high-level profiles focused on the expansion of artificial intelligence.”

The global perspective responds to the needs of a Group that is also growing geographically and generates over 50% of its revenues from international markets: “It is increasingly important to have a shared, decisive, and consistent vision across the various areas in which we operate. On one hand, significant investments are planned in Italy, in collaboration with universities and SMEs; on the other, with the new reorganization, we have the ability to interact and develop, together with all our partners—both global and local—an increasingly innovative offering.”

From an international perspective, “we are thus able to operate in all the countries where we are present, responding to the different needs we identify in the markets in which we operate.”

“AI is becoming pervasive; we must be the first to seize it and position it in the most effective way possible. A group like ours, growing and evolving globally, engages with highly significant players at both national and international levels and must fully express all its potential,” Sandei continued.

“A key word for us is continuous, 360-degree training, involving all the skills within our organization. It is a driver of transformation for both production processes and the management of the company’s operations,” she concluded.
