Platform for digitized public green management
The GIS-based solution, specialized in public green space monitoring and management, collects and integrates information and application services. It provides management, processing, and analysis tools through various application modules, including maintenance management (WFM), sensor monitoring (IoT), land registry consultation, and other relevant information services.
Integration with IoT sensors to support visual assessment of public green spaces
Workforce management modules to support operators in the field
Ability to enable interactivity and gamification mechanisms to engage citizens
Use case
Management of roles and schedules of maintenance operations teams
Visualization of fire zones, water sources, and traffic conditions in the area
Digital monitoring of plant health with biometric data collection
Success case
Digital technologies for green management
The Challenge
The City of Messina needed a tool that would provide a clear and unified view of forestation policies, urban green distribution, and citizens’ perceptions of the existing tree stock, so as to facilitate the planning of targeted interventions and optimization of resources.
The Solution
With our team of experts, we implemented a mapping system for public green management by integrating data from tree censuses, land registries, sensors, maintenance records, satellite land use surveys, and citizen opinions. Using AI technologies, we synthesized this information to provide overall indicators on the state of green space and digital solutions to more efficiently manage the organization of operator interventions as well.
The Result
We provided a detailed snapshot of the parameters in place in the target areas, facilitating the identification of areas in need of redevelopment and simulating corrective actions such as new plantings. Thanks to our platform, the municipality can now plan targeted interventions in an informed and informed way, optimizing resources and improving the perception of the quality of public green.
