29 November 2024
On November 25, the first edition of the Executive Programme on Gender Equality Management kicked off in Milan. The program was organized by Giuffrè Francis Lefebvre Formazione and sponsored by AIGI (Italian Association of Corporate Lawyers) and the Marisa Bellisario Foundation.
This training initiative offers a new and practical approach to gender equality, no longer seen as a mere corporate compliance obligation but as a robust business strategy.
Among the event’s speakers is Almawave CEO Valeria Sandei, who will join today’s panel discussion alongside Liliana Fratini Passi, General Director of the CBI Consortium of the Italian Banking Association, and Paola F. Scarpa of the Boston Consulting Group. The discussion will focus on the importance of addressing gender biases in data and artificial intelligence algorithms. Key topics will include the need to foster greater diversity in technical teams, ensure equal access to technology, promote STEM education for women, and develop ethical regulations to prevent inequalities. Additionally, the panel will highlight the role of AI as a tool for empowering women and reducing gender disparities.
