“From Law to Skills: How AI is Changing Through Education” was an event that highlighted the crucial role of universities in developing the skills necessary to address the challenges of artificial intelligence in an inclusive and responsible way. It took place today at the University of Milan.
The event was introduced and moderated by Gabriele Capolino, Director and Associate Editor of MF-Milano Finanza, while the opening remarks were delivered by Silvana Castano, Vice-Rector for Digital Transition and Artificial Intelligence – Human Hall for AI, and Marilisa D’Amico, Full Professor of Constitutional Law and Spoke Leader of Human Hall.
In the panel “AI and Public Administration,” speakers included Valeria Sandei, CEO of Almawave, and Mario Nobile, President of AGID – Agency for Digital Italy.
During his intervention, our CEO emphasized that artificial intelligence can realize its full potential only if developed according to principles of responsibility, ethics, and sustainability, particularly in strategic areas such as public administration. Key elements include data quality and a shared regulatory framework.
Sandei also highlighted how continuous investment in research and development, combined with the contribution of universities in education and the development of specialized skills, represents a fundamental lever to ensure that AI is adopted inclusively, effectively, and truly serves the country. This is a challenge we must address both in Italy and across Europe. Being present, with proprietary technologies and expertise, is essential.
