European AI Plan: Almawave CEO Sandei speaks at the launch of the AI Continent Action Plan on Innovazione by Corriere della Sera

With the announcement of the AI Continent Action Plan, the European Union has positioned itself as a global leader in artificial intelligence, ready to compete with American and Chinese Big Tech, but with a different model, one based on clear rules and transparency.
Today on L’Innovazione by Corriere della Sera, Alessia Cruciani’s article on the European AI Plan includes insights from Valeria Sandei, CEO of Almawave, who participated in the launch of the AI Continent Action Plan. “It was an important opportunity to gather ideas and reflections. Like any plan, it has implementation timelines that will unfold over the coming quarters.”
Sandei emphasizes the importance of skills, “which must become an increasingly industrial asset. We need to create an osmosis that starts from universities and leads to industrial production, and thus to the ability to reach the market.”
Sandei also considers it crucial for the success of the plan: “finding our own path that looks at scientific innovation while adapting to the real needs and opportunities of the market, and operates within this trajectory. A made-in-Europe AI must be designed to address the concrete needs of businesses and sectors that have been mentioned, and it must be envisioned for the future.”
