Almaviva and Almawave present at the AWS Summit 2025 event

Almawave participated in AWS Summit 2025 at AlmavivA’s booth D2. During the event, Professor Emanuele Frontoni – Full Professor of Computer Science at the University of Macerata and Co-director of the VRAI Lab – illustrated the potential of Velvet, our family of conscious, transparent, lightweight, and specialized LLMs, capable of clearly explaining clinical data and supporting doctors in interpreting complex situations. He also presented the OncologIA project, born from the collaboration between Almaviva and Almawave.

This initiative combines technological and clinical expertise with the goal of innovating oncological patient management through the use of artificial intelligence and decision-support tools designed for healthcare professionals.
The project leverages AI to integrate and organize complex, diverse clinical data, making it easier and quicker for clinicians to consult. Thanks to advanced tools such as the clinical viewer and explainable AI, OncologIA supports personalized therapeutic pathways and clinical decisions, multidisciplinary team collaboration, providing a more understandable, transparent, and interpretable representation.
