HICON 2022 – conceived and organized by The Data Appeal Company and Teamwork Hospitality

On November 23rd, HICON returns, the largest Italian event dedicated to hospitality, technological innovation, and new tourism trends, conceived and organized by The Data Appeal Company and Teamwork Hospitality. This year’s gathering will take place at the newly inaugurated NH Collection Milano CityLife, located in the iconic Milanese district.

The event will be held in person with a maximum of 300 participants, unfolding in four thematic sessions lasting 90 minutes each: tourism megatrends, destinations and transportation, technology and innovation, and hospitality. Sustainability, inclusivity, technological innovations, and artificial intelligence will be the focal points of this edition, crucial tools for addressing an increasingly complex and volatile international landscape.

The theme dictating this year’s agenda is “Wave Surfing,” as today’s future resembles a large wave. The recovery has arrived just as tourism departed, without warning. For operators, Destination Management Organizations (DMOs), and institutions, there’s nothing left but to “grab the surfboard” and ride the wave, striving to navigate it in the best possible way.

The event aims to celebrate the opportunity and ability to gather information, know-how, and forward-thinking insights from the industry to rejuvenate hotels, restaurants, and tourist activities.

On stage, national and international guests, industry experts, analysts, professionals, and digital innovators will explore how the tourism landscape has changed and is changing, interpreting new trends and assessing the levers and tools that can truly make a difference.

Confirmed speakers include Paolo Iabichino, creative director, lecturer, and author; Lennert De Jong, President Planet; Marco Cattaneo, director of National Geographic Italy; MariaPia Intini, Development & Investment Director, Europe, CitizenM; Victoria O’Connel, CEO and Co-Founder of Golightly; Annakaisa Ojala, Digital Development Manager – Visit Finland; Walter Lo Faro, Sr. Director, Market Management Southern Europe, Expedia; Alberto Yates, Regional Manager – Booking.com, and many others.
