Almawave present at the fourth edition of Impact Deal
13 February 2026
Yesterday marked the kick-off of the fourth edition of Impact Deal, the European data-driven acceleration program for social and environmental impact enterprises, promoted by Fondazione CRT and OGR Torino. This edition confirms the growth of the ecosystem: 139 applications from 38 countries and 30 startups selected, with a balance between Italian excellence (56%) and international talent (44%).
As a partner of the Data Club, Almawave will support the development of projects through design thinking activities and the provision of Alternative Data and Data Packs from The Data Appeal Company (Almawave Group), strategic tools to enhance and scale the business models of participating startups.
During the day, Paolo Spiga, AI Technology Consultant at Almawave, presented the company’s vision on industrial AI and data governance, emphasizing the importance of “AI Act by design” solutions. He highlighted that the current challenge is no longer just achieving high performance, but ensuring AI that is usable, reliable, and compliant by design. In this context, the Velvet family of LLMs plays a key role: multilingual, lightweight, and designed for hybrid and on-premise deployments. The presentation also illustrated Almawave’s approach to data interaction, enabling natural language dialogue while adhering to strict governance rules.
The role of Alternative Data is also central, made available to startups throughout the program: by integrating location, sentiment, and market signals, they not only generate insights but also help guide priorities and operational decisions.
